Kristen Arent works in Global Neurology Marketing at Biogen Idec, a global biotech company that creates new standards of care in therapeutic areas with high unmet medical needs. Kristen has been advising senior and executive-level management in the biopharmaceutical community for over ten years. She has extensive expertise in market research and new product acquisitions. Kristen joined the board in 2006.

Ellie Botshon has a background in housing and economic development in both the US and Latin America. She currently works in the residential real estate market assisting buyers and sellers, and as a relocation consultant in the Greater Boston area. She holds an MBA from the UK and a MA in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University. Ellie joined the Board in 2007.

Art Canter is the founder and former President/CEO of the Massachusetts Lodging Association. He has over twenty five years of management and leadership experience with a strong focus on strategic planning, marketing, sales, financial and resource management, education, program development, public relations, fund development and government relations. He has a BA from Northeastern University and a Masters of Public Administration from University of New Haven. He joined the Board in 2008.

Stephan Chait is Director of Capital Projects for the University of Massachusetts Building Authority. He is responsible for capital projects, space management as well as the oversight of operational departments at UMASS. He has been on the ENEC Board since 2001and chairs the Governance Committee. He lives in Lynn, MA

Neil Clark began his career as a middle school teacher and administrator and then managed an environmental education program for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. He is now a communications consultant focusing primarily on environmental and conservation issues in the water and energy industries. He was on the ENEC Board for six years and served as Board President for four years. He holds a B.S. from MIT and a M.Ed. from UMass Boston.

Kimberly Hirsh (President) has extensive human resources management experience in various industries. She is currently with Management Sciences for Health, an international development organization headquartered in Cambridge, MA. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University and a M.S. in Business from Johns Hopkins University. Travel for work and leisure has brought her to Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Kimberly joined the Board in 2004 and has served as its Vice President from November 2005-November 2006, and President since November 2006.

Liane Luke (Vice President) is founder and Principal of Greenway Investment Advisors, a private equity firm for private and institutional investors. She is also Managing Director of FourWinds Capital Management, where she manages a portfolio of international timberland investment properties. Formerly, she worked in several organizations managing investments in real assets. She has an MBA from Yale University’s School of Management. She joined the Board of ENEC in December 2005, and lives in Boston.

David Noble is currently Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing for Royal Hospitality Services, Inc., a commercial laundry facility servicing 70 hotels throughout New England. Prior to that, he served as Director of Operations and External Affairs for the Massachusetts Lodging Association from 2004 through 2006. He received his BA from Colgate University in 1999 and his MBA in from Boston University's Graduate School of Management in 2004. Prior to joining the MLA, he worked for the Democratic National Convention as a special assistant to the Chairwoman and was the Director of Operations for Earth Tones, a telecommunications service provider in Denver, Colorado.

Ann Parker is an Attorney in the Real Estate Department at Ropes & Gray LLP. She has been at Ropes & Gray LLP since 1995. Previously she served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Raya Dreben at the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Ann holds a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University. Ann lives in Boston and joined the Board in December 2004.

Julie Wingerter is a marketing strategy consultant with Phase Forward. Formerly, she was Vice President of Strategy, Marketing & Business Development at NetCracker Technology Corporation. Julie has an MBA from The Wharton School and an undergraduate degree from Princeton University. Julie has an extensive background in high tech, including enterprise software and telecommunications, biotech, and Fortune 500 management consulting. She joined the Board in 2007 and lives in Jamaica Plain.

Gloria Yee is the Global Product Manager for Hemashield Aortic Grafts at Boston Scientific Corporation. Previously, she worked as part of the Health Economics and Government Affairs team in the International Division of Boston Scientific. She holds an MBA, BSc and BEd, and has worked as a Senior Business Consultant at SEQUITUR Inc and Program Manager for Collaborative Research Trials at GlaxoSmithKline. She has used her business training and experience to help at the ACT II Child and Family Services Society and the London Distress Centre on their Boards previously. Gloria enjoys coaching local dragon boating teams in the Boston area. She joined the Board in 2005 and serves on the Development Committee.

John Yonce is President of Porter Sargent Publishers, Inc, an educational publisher on Beacon Hill. He worked in the international youth and budget travel industry for 15 years, as a director of Roadrunner Hostelling Treks and AmeriCan Adventures in England and Los Angeles. John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with degrees in Journalism/Legal Studies, and Social Thought and Political Economics. John joined the HI-ENEC Board in 2001, and lives in Scituate, MA with his wife and four children.
