How to Make a Group Reservation

  1. Email us at: groups (at) usahostels.org to find out if the dates you want are available. You must send us Your Name, address and email; Group and/or Trip name; date of arrival, number of nights staying, number of males and number of females (including leaders), and of course which hostel.

  2. Once we have confirmed that those dates are available, we will mail you a reservation contract. You then have 14 days to mail in a deposit of 50% of the total cost and the signed contract. If you are unable to send a deposit within 14 days, please let us know or your reservation may be canceled.

  3. We happily accept personal & business checks and money orders. Please make them out to Hostelling International.

  4. Once we have received your deposit, you will be sent a Reservation Deposit Receipt. The balance of your payment is due 30 days before arrival to avoid a $25 late fee.

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Complete Trip Cancellations need to be submitted by mail or email and confirmed 60 days prior to arrival in order to receive a refund. All Complete Trip Cancellations are subject to a $75 administrative fee.

Partial Group Cancellations:
Groups with ten members or less may cancel one person and get a refund if we are contacted 30 days prior to arrival.
Groups with more than ten members may cancel up to 10% of their group and get a refund if we are contacted 30 days prior to arrival

No other refunds will be given if cancellations are made within 30 days.
