DYA is a school for "an at-risk population of truant youths ranging in age from 12 to 16 years old" in Dorchester. The small, intimate environment gives students the individual attention they need and prepares the 11 boys to re-enter the Boston Public School System.

All 11 boys participated in Cultural Kitchen, and food was cooked from the following countries:

United States, Italy, Puerto Rico, Vietnam and Cuba
