COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY STUDENTS:

HI-ENEC has a number of travel-related and cultural education resources to offer local college students in the Boston area. Whether studying abroad, volunteering abroad, or just traveling for pleasure, HI-ENEC can make your journey more memorable, efficient, economical, responsible and informed.

Travel Education Seminars

Young people need a place to start on their voyage to becoming savvy travelers and respectful global citizens. Hostelling International Travel Education Seminars are designed to teach the essentials. The seminars offer information about how to prepare for domestic and/or international travel, and they focus on what it means to "journey with an open mind and gentle heart." The seminars go beyond providing basic travel tips in order to educate young people not only about how to travel, but about why to travel in a way that is respectful to different cultures, peoples and norms. The seminar also helps participants approach hostelling as a fun, thoughtful, and unique learning experience.
